a short review, you will create advanced weaves of chain links
and chainmail. Work with pre-made patterns and learn to develop
your own. The registration fee for this class covers the instruction

Stage Combat - This entire course is physically demanding
and registrants (16 and older) should consult a physician and
use good judgment before committing to its rigorous routines.
It will be presented as a series of classes and consistent attendance
is required. Participants will need to purchase their own training
materials (practice swords, staffs, pads, etc.). It should
also be noted that anyone between the ages of 16-18 will work
only with practice weapons; no metal weapons at all. The
main focus and highlight of each class will be on personal
safety. The lessons taught are for theatre and film presentations
only and are in no way sufficient for actual combat. Class one
introduces tumbles and falls inherent to successful stage representation.
Additionally this first class will demonstrate hand-to-hand
combat. Subsequent classes will introduce weapons including
the quarterstaff, the broadsword, the two-handed sword, the
Japanese sword, and the rapier and gauche (sword and dagger).
In each class you will learn fight choreography designed with
each weapon's unique characteristics imbedded for authenticity.
The course will culminate with a demonstration of skills.
